Amerikalinjen occupies the former headquarters of the Norwegian America Line on Jernbanetorget, directly beside Oslo Central Station and within an easy walk of the waterfront.

The building’s history is central to the concept. Original details and references to transatlantic travel are layered with contemporary Norwegian design rather than treated as a museum piece.
