Grand Hotel Son Net turns a 17th-century Mallorcan manor into a deeply curated Tramuntana retreat of individually designed suites, private vineyard, serious spa and painterly country-house interiors.
Grand Hotel Son Net sits above the village of Puigpunyent at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana, only about 20 minutes from Palma but surrounded by gardens, orchards and a private Malvasia vineyard.
The 17th-century manor retains its original courtyard, spring-fed well, private chapel, carved wooden ceilings, stone floors and antique fireplaces, all restored under interior designer Lorenzo Castillo.
No two rooms feel identical. Palace Rooms begin around 35 square metres, junior suites rise to 50 and 60 square metres, and the grandest suites reach roughly 150 square metres; separate Pool Cottage Suites and a two-bedroom Pool Cottage House add garden privacy.
The Spa & Wellness center spans more than 1,000 square metres with a sea-salt indoor pool, five treatment rooms, sauna, Turkish bath, Japanese pool, ice fountain and Technogym fitness overlooking the mountains.
