Green O
The Green O is a tiny adults-only Montana hideaway of just 12 high-design forest homes, pairing fireplaces and private hot tubs with all-inclusive dining and access to the vast Paws Up wilderness.
The Green O is hidden in dense woodland in Greenough, Montana, on the edge of the enormous Paws Up landscape and surrounded by the Blackfoot River Valley and distant mountain ranges.
There are only 12 accommodations, or “hauses,” arranged across a secluded hillside and designed exclusively for adults. The four architectural styles emphasize privacy, glass and immersion in the forest.
Individual homes use floor-to-ceiling windows, king beds, fireplaces, eco-kitchenettes and private outdoor hot tubs. Round Haus accommodations, for example, provide 918 square feet indoors plus extensive exterior space.
Meals and beverages are incorporated into the resort experience, with Social Haus serving as the intimate culinary center. Guests also have access to wilderness adventures and a Lexus vehicle for transportation around the larger property.
The Green O is best for couples who want Montana in a highly designed, nearly private form, especially when solitude and architecture matter more than conventional resort amenities such as a communal pool.
