Portrait Roma occupies a discreet address on Via Bocca di Leone just off Via Condotti, steps from Piazza di Spagna and the Spanish Steps. Rather than announcing itself as a conventional hotel, it is designed to feel like a private Roman residence above one of the city's most elegant shopping streets.

Only 14 suites make up the property. Michele Bönan's interiors draw on Italian fashion and the legacy of Salvatore Ferragamo, using handcrafted leather, marble, tailored furnishings and midcentury references without becoming overtly themed.

Most accommodations include generous living areas and fully equipped bar-kitchenettes, giving the suites a real apartment quality. Larger configurations add terraces, multiple bedrooms and, in selected categories, private wellness features.

The rooftop is one of Portrait Roma's defining spaces, used for breakfast, coffee, aperitivi and quiet drinks while looking across the city's domes and rooftops. There is no need for a large formal restaurant because the experience is intentionally closer to private residential hospitality.

Portrait Roma works particularly well for travelers who know Rome and want privacy, location and individual attention more than grand public rooms. Its scale and tailored Lifestyle Team make the city feel unusually accessible and personal.
