The newly renamed flagship RW Hotel at Resorts World Genting offers large refreshed rooms and extravagant suites high in the Genting Highlands, though bookings are currently restricted to qualifying casino and Genting Rewards guests.
RW Hotel occupies a prime position inside Resorts World Genting, the enormous entertainment complex in Malaysia’s highlands above Kuala Lumpur. The property was formerly known as Highlands Hotel and adopted the RW Hotel name in 2026 as part of a broader repositioning of the resort’s hotel portfolio.
The room mix ranges from 325-square-foot Premier and Deluxe rooms to substantially larger Executive categories and newly introduced suites. At the top end, the 3,300-square-foot Super Suite is designed as a full-floor-style statement with dedicated living and dining spaces.
A swimming pool on the 18th floor provides panoramic highland views, while the wider resort places casinos, theme parks, restaurants, entertainment and shopping immediately outside the hotel. Several floors are currently undergoing renovation as the repositioning continues.
Dining within the hotel includes Old Friends Restaurant and Genting Secret Garden Hotpot, but the real advantage is immediate access to Resorts World Genting’s enormous food-and-entertainment ecosystem.
RW Hotel is best viewed as a premium component of the integrated resort rather than a standalone destination hotel. Importantly, current room bookings are restricted to casino guests and Genting Rewards members at Gold level and above, making access more exclusive—and less straightforward—than most hotels in this guide.
