In the pine-covered uplands of Lanai, Sensei pairs Four Seasons service with evidence-led wellness, private 1,000-square-foot spa hales, daily classes and nourishing dining by Nobu in a deeply secluded setting.
Sensei Lanai occupies the cool uplands of Kōʻele rather than the island’s beachfront, surrounded by Cook pines, gardens, sculpture and rolling interior landscapes. The setting feels intentionally introspective and is open to guests ages 16 and older.
Rooms and suites are filled with natural light and open to private lanais facing the gardens. The largest Kaiholena Suite extends to roughly 1,200 square feet with a fireplace, dining area and broad outdoor living space.
Wellness is the entire organizing principle of the resort. Ten private spa hales measure roughly 1,000 square feet each and include an ofuro bath, infrared sauna, steam, indoor and outdoor showers, treatment tables and private plunge pools.
Guests can build highly personalized stays around consultations, fitness, yoga, nutrition, mindfulness, forest bathing and island excursions. A heated pool with two 25-meter lap lanes and extensive sculpture and onsen gardens support less structured downtime.
Sensei by Nobu brings Nobu Matsuhisa’s cooking together with Sensei’s evidence-led approach to nutrition. Sensei Lanai is best for travelers who want a highly structured but luxurious wellness trip where health, food and environment are treated as one integrated experience.
