Occupying levels 34 to 52 of The Shard, Shangri-La turns London’s tallest building into a sky-high hotel with 202 rooms and suites, TĪNG dining and the city’s highest infinity pool.
Shangri-La The Shard occupies the upper levels of Renzo Piano’s landmark tower above London Bridge. Borough Market, the Thames, Tower Bridge and Tate Modern sit below, while the hotel’s height opens views across virtually the entire city.
The property has 202 rooms and suites, all outward-facing and shaped by The Shard’s irregular glass geometry. Floor-to-ceiling windows make every room fundamentally about the view, with higher suites stretching from Canary Wharf across the Thames to the London Eye.
The sky pool near the top of the building is the hotel’s most distinctive leisure feature and one of the highest swimming pools in Western Europe. In-room spa services and fitness facilities complement the dramatic pool rather than attempting a large traditional spa.
TĪNG serves contemporary British cuisine with Asian influence on level 35, while GŎNG takes cocktails even higher. Bar 31 at street level provides a more casual counterpoint to the elevated dining spaces.
Shangri-La The Shard is best for travelers who want London to feel cinematic. The room shapes vary and the neighborhood is south of the river, but few hotels anywhere can match the sensation of sleeping inside the skyline itself.
