The Marker Waterfront Resort occupies a two-acre site beside Key West’s Historic Seaport, close enough to walk to Duval Street while remaining slightly removed from its busiest blocks. The location places boats, restaurants and sunset activity immediately around the hotel.
The property was designed as a contemporary interpretation of classic Key West architecture, with pale facades, verandas and tropical landscaping rather than a large resort tower. Rooms are bright and relaxed, and every accommodation includes a private balcony.
Three outdoor pools are spread through the gardens, allowing the resort to create separate social and quieter zones. Palms, shaded seating and poolside service give the grounds a more secluded atmosphere than the central Old Town address might suggest.
Starboard provides the main food and drink setting, while the surrounding Historic Seaport adds a wide range of casual seafood restaurants and bars within a short walk. Bikes and easy pedestrian access make it practical to explore without a car.
The Marker is best for travelers who want Key West’s nightlife and harbor close at hand but prefer to return to a calmer modern resort. Its combination of pools, balconies and Old Town walkability makes it particularly well balanced for first-time visitors.
