At the center of Water Street Tampa, The Tampa EDITION combines 172 rooms, 30 suites, Roman and Williams interiors, rooftop pool energy and Michelin-starred-chef dining in the city’s most ambitious new urban district.
The Tampa EDITION anchors the 56-acre Water Street Tampa neighborhood beside the waterfront, arena and downtown business district. Rather than operating as a stand-alone destination, the hotel is designed as the social heart of a walkable, wellness-focused urban redevelopment.
There are 172 guestrooms and 30 suites, including a roughly 2,059-square-foot Penthouse, with interiors by Roman and Williams under Ian Schrager’s creative direction. Floor-to-ceiling windows, pale woods, lush planting and soft textures create a distinctly residential counterpoint to downtown Tampa.
The rooftop pool and terrace provide the property’s most visible leisure experience, while a 24-hour fitness studio supports the broader neighborhood wellness theme. The Forbes Four-Star Spa is temporarily closed from August 10 through September 25, 2026, so spa-dependent stays during this period require planning.
Michelin-starred chef John Fraser oversees the broader culinary direction, with multiple restaurants, bars and nightlife spaces spread through the hotel. Arts Club and Punch Room add a more distinctly EDITION social layer beyond traditional hotel dining.
The Tampa EDITION is best for travelers who want Tampa to feel contemporary, design-driven and walkable. It succeeds less as a classic Florida resort than as the polished centerpiece of a new downtown neighborhood.
