Occupying floors 31 to 36 of Tokyo World Gate, The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon pairs 206 Kengo Kuma-designed rooms with Tokyo Tower views, private sky terraces, a 14-meter indoor pool and a six-treatment-room spa.
The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon sits high inside Tokyo World Gate between Toranomon, Kamiyacho and Roppongi, with Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Bay spread across the view. The hotel occupies floors 31 through 36, creating a strong sense of separation from the business district below.
All 206 rooms and suites were designed by Kengo Kuma with Ian Schrager’s creative direction. Fifteen accommodations have furnished outdoor terraces beginning on level 31—still an unusual feature in Tokyo skyscraper hotels—while the Penthouse opens to broad 180-degree city views.
The Spa contains six treatment rooms, including a couples suite, and is joined by a 14-meter heated indoor lap pool, Jacuzzi and 24-hour Technogym fitness center. High windows turn the pool into a bright conservatory rather than a typical basement wellness space.
The Jade Room and Garden Terrace make rare use of high-altitude outdoor dining, while Gold Bar at EDITION and the vast plant-filled Lobby Bar create very different evening moods. Food, greenery and skyline are intentionally blended throughout the upper floors.
The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon is best for travelers who want Tokyo to feel vertical, social and wellness-oriented. Its private terraces and indoor pool give it far more resort depth than the smaller Ginza sister hotel.
