Perched above Lake Lugano, THE VIEW is an ultra-small all-suite hotel with yacht-inspired interiors, panoramic balconies, a substantial spa and Michelin-starred dining.
THE VIEW Lugano occupies the hillside above Paradiso, where the elevation opens broad views across Lake Lugano and the surrounding Alps. The hotel is deliberately small and highly personalized, closer in spirit to a private yacht or residence than a conventional city property.
There are only 18 accommodations: 16 Junior Suites of roughly 50 square meters and two 105-square-meter Suites. All face the lake and use naval teak, private balconies and extensive in-room technology to reinforce the yacht-inspired concept.
THE VIEW Spa is unusually extensive for a hotel of this size. Facilities include an 18-meter indoor pool, vitality pool, sauna, Turkish bath, sensory showers, treatment rooms and a Himalayan-salt relaxation space, supported by a modern fitness center.
Dining is another major reason to stay. THE VIEW Fine Dining holds a Michelin star, while the Bistrot provides a more relaxed alternative; guests can also arrange personalized food, wine and wellness experiences.
THE VIEW is best for travelers who prioritize privacy, lake views and service over a large social scene. Complimentary electric Smart cars and e-bikes also make the hillside location easier to enjoy, turning the property into a particularly distinctive base for exploring Lugano.
