Weekapaug Inn sits on Rhode Island’s southwestern shoreline overlooking Quonochontaug Pond, with the Atlantic just beyond the dunes. The current inn dates to 1939 and preserves the casual summer-house spirit of a property first established in 1899.

Its 33 accommodations include guestrooms, four two-bedroom Signature Suites and two Carriage House Suites. Each room is individually furnished and oriented toward a different view of the cove, pond, community or ocean.

A seasonal lap pool, Jacuzzi, beach access and broad lawn support relaxed summer days. The inn’s resident naturalist program is more distinctive, with nature walks, birding, boating, kayaking, biking and other guided activities built around the coastal environment.

Dining follows a farm-to-table New England approach, while the Garden Room, bar and seasonal deck keep the atmosphere informal enough for multi-night stays. Guests also gain access to selected programming at sister property Ocean House in nearby Watch Hill.

Weekapaug Inn is best for travelers who want classic New England coastal life without the formality of a grand resort. Its small scale and nature programming make it particularly strong for families and multigenerational trips.
