Wickaninnish Inn sits on a rocky headland at the north end of Chesterman Beach, surrounded by old-growth rainforest and the open Pacific. The setting is inseparable from the experience, changing dramatically between calm summer evenings and Tofino’s famous winter storms.

The inn has 75 rooms and suites split between the Pointe and Beach buildings. Interiors favor wood, stone, fireplaces and large windows, with the best rooms using the ocean, forest and weather as the primary design features rather than competing with them.

Ancient Cedars Spa occupies the ocean level of the Pointe Building, where treatment rooms, an oceanfront patio and a steam cave bring the landscape directly into the wellness experience. On-site trails lead through the rainforest and onto Chesterman Beach.

The Pointe Restaurant focuses on seasonal West Coast ingredients and tasting menus, supported by On the Rocks Bar, a wine cellar, café and more casual seasonal venues. Dining here is designed around the same sense of place as the rest of the hotel.

Wickaninnish Inn is best for travelers who want nature to be the reason for the stay rather than simply the backdrop. It works equally well for storm watching, long beach walks and quiet spa weekends, with enough polish to feel luxurious without diluting Tofino’s rugged character.
