Zannier Phum Baitang sits on the outskirts of Siem Reap, surrounded by rice paddies, gardens and sugar palms while remaining within reach of Angkor Archaeological Park. The grounds are designed to resemble a rural Khmer village rather than a conventional resort.

Its 45 freestanding villas are built on stilts and divided between Terrace and Pool categories. Handpicked antiques, timber construction and generous outdoor spaces create a strong sense of place, while Pool Villas add private plunge pools and garden salas.

The large open-air infinity pool overlooks the paddies and becomes the social center at sunset. Experiences extend into the surrounding region through temple visits, village cycling, Tonlé Sap excursions, market trips and Cambodian cooking.

Spa Temple takes architectural cues from Angkor and offers traditional Khmer therapies, including locally rooted rituals. Bay Phsar and Hang Bay cover relaxed Cambodian and international dining, while the Sunset Lounge occupies a century-old farmhouse.

Phum Baitang is best for travelers who want the temples of Angkor paired with a restorative rural setting. The resort’s scale, landscaping and culturally specific design make returning from a day of exploration feel like entering another village.
